Nancy O'Dell's radio career started as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach in South Carolina. In later years, she was employed by WCBD as an anchor in the morning and a crime reporter. The journalist's report on the lack of response of the police to DUI instances in Charleston led to an investigation being conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which resulted in a new direction from the state authorities on DUI cases.
